چکیده

Cobalt(II)-M-hexacyanoferrate(II), M = K, NH4, Cs, as synthetic sorbents have ion exchange properties selective for monovalent cations. They show a higher selectivity for the ions with larger crystal radius if the sorption takes place in dilute solutions, whereas in concentrated sulutions the selectivity sequence is reversed. The phenomenon is attributed to the differences in physico-chemical properties of the given pair of competing ions in the solution phase and to steric limitations in the phase of ion exchanger.

The Structure Model of an Inorganic Ion Exchanger Cobalt(II)-hexacyanoferrate(II)

Cobalt(II)-hexacyanoferrates(II) with incorporated monovalent Na+, K + , N H i + and Cs+ ions have been synthetized. Chemical composition and structure of the unit cell of the crystallites have been determined by X-ray and I R analysis. It has been found that all crystallites containing the monovalent cations are isomorphous having an FCC structure, whereas the cobalt(II)-hexacyanoferrate(II) c...

ELECTROCHEMICAL BEHAVIOR OF GC, Pt AND Au ELECTRODES MODIFIED WITH THIN FILM OF COBALT HEXACYANOFERRATE

0A thin film of cobalt hexacyanoferrate (CoHCF), an analogue of mixed-valence Prussian blue, was deposited electrochemically on the glassy carbon, platinum and gold electrode surfaces in 0.5M KC1 solution. The electrochemical behavior of these modified electrodes show three couples of redox peaks by CV in a supporting electrolyte solution of 0.5M NaCl, whereas for Au modified electrode only ...

Sorption of Cu(II), Zn(II) and Ni(II) from aqueous solution using activated carbon prepared from olive stone waste

The performance of olive stone activated carbon (OSAC) for sorption of Cu2+, Zn2+ and Ni2+ ions was investigated via batch technique. OSAC materials were prepared under different physially activation conditions. Olive stone waste was physically activated with N2 gas and steam gas at 900oC at 3.5h hold time (OSAC-3) was choice as the best one for Cu2+, Zn2+ and Ni2+ removal. Characterization for...

Influence of cations on kinetics of angiotensin II binding to adrenal, renal, and smooth muscle receptors.

A number of biological responses to angiotensin II have been demonstrated to be modulated acutely by cations, but the exact mechanism has not been elucidated. We have utilized a radioreceptor assay for angiotensin II to determine whether this acute regulatory mechanism could be related to a change in either number or affinity of angiotensin II binding to receptors. Three target tissues were use...

Response Surface Methodology Optimization of Cobalt (II) and Lead (II) Removal from Aqueous Solution Using MWCNT-Fe3O4 Nanocomposite

The present investigation describes the evaluation of feasibility of MWCNT-Fe3O4 nanocomposite toward adsorptive removal of Co(II) and Pb(II) from aqueous solution in batch mode. The Fe3O4–MWCNT hybrid was prepared using a simple one-pot strategy via in situ growth of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles onto the surface of the MWCNT...
